1962 Volkswagen Beetle
This 1962 Sunroof Bug is an extremely clean and meticulously restored classic Volkswagen. It features a brand-new 1641 longblock engine, with all parts either newly replaced or professionally rebuilt, including the carburetor, alternator, distributor, fuel pump, flywheel, pulleys, and heater boxes. The 12V lighting system has been upgraded with new Euro 12V fluted lens headlights and LED bulbs. Other recent updates include new sunvisors, rearview mirror, rear seat panels, front and rear bumpers, rear shocks, and a new battery. The brake system was fully refreshed in 2022, with new master cylinders, wheel cylinders, brake drums, and linings. With less than 1,300 miles driven since the 2022 work, and always kept out of the rain, this car drives like it’s factory new. The body was restored in 1996 by a former VW mechanic from Germany, and the car has been carefully stored in heated garages ever since. With a file of receipts and its stunning condition, this rare Sunroof Bug is a true gem for collectors.
