Description
1937 Chevrolet Tudor Custom Sedan | One-Off All-Steel Build | 4.2L Vortec EFI | 4L60E | Vintage A/C | 23,500 Miles
This 1937 Chevrolet Tudor Sedan is a truly unique one-off, all-steel custom street rod that combines timeless pre-war Chevrolet styling with modern fuel-injected performance, upgraded suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, and a carefully finished custom interior.
Built in California in 2006 by a retired machinist and former sprint car racer, this Chevrolet was engineered to be more than a showpiece. It has been built to comfortably cruise and be enjoyed on the road. The current owner purchased the car directly from the builder in March 2020 with 8,321 miles, and it now shows approximately 23,500 miles.
Power comes from a 4.2L Vortec EFI inline-six sourced from a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer, paired with a 4L60E automatic transmission. A Borla dual exhaust system complements the drivetrain, while a Saldana Racing aluminum radiator with electric fan handles cooling. The engine and transmission use AMSOIL 100% synthetic lubricants.
The chassis has received extensive upgrades, including a custom Mustang II-style front suspension with S-10 tubular A-arms, QA1 adjustable coil-over shocks, and a triangulated four-link rear suspension. Four-wheel disc brakes provide modern stopping performance, while a 23-gallon stainless-steel fuel tank gives the car useful cruising capability.
Its exterior is one of the car's strongest features. The custom two-tone blue and charcoal gray finish is accented by scallops and hand-applied-style pinstriping. A Packard grille, 1940 Chevrolet headlights, custom 1950 Pontiac Blue Dot taillights, Bow Tie third brake light, shaved doors, and shaved trunk give the car a distinctive appearance without losing its classic character.
Chrome steel wheels with Bullet-style center caps are wrapped in B.F. Goodrich Silvertown wide-whitewall tires, completing the traditional street-rod stance.
Inside is a fully customized cabin featuring a one-off Bow Tie dashboard with Dakota Digital gauges, matching blue and charcoal leather upholstery and carpeting, front bucket seats, and a six-way power driver's seat. Additional amenities include Vintage Air A/C and heat, tilt steering, a custom steering wheel, power one-piece side windows, factory-tinted glass, and a custom one-piece Jeffries windshield.
The entertainment system has also been modernized with a JVC Bluetooth head unit, four Rockford Fosgate speakers, a Kenwood 400-watt amplifier, and a 10-inch DS18 subwoofer powered by a separate 300-watt amplifier.
The current owner has continued improving the car since purchasing it, including replacing the wheels and tires, upgrading to the QA1 coil-over shocks, and updating the stereo system. In May 2025, it received a new drive belt, JVC head unit, subwoofer/amplifier setup, and American Autowire wiring loom.
