1992 Mercedes 310 4x4 pop top camper van Rare 4X4 Mercedes 310 pop top camper van with 93,659 KM / 58,197 miles ready to be customized. Originally an Austrian fire truck. Has the Mercedes authorized Oberaigner drive train. A very capable high clearance 4x4 with pneumatic shifting system and locking rear differential. It has the 4 cylinder 2.3 liter M102 gas engine with a 5 speed transmission. The same engine in the Mercedes 190 sold in the US so parts are available. It’s a simple Carbureted motor with no computer electronics so it’s as simple as it gets and easy to work on. The walls have been insulated with new panels. You can sleep in the pop top or on a bed platform below (not pictured). It has great visibility with a passenger swivel seat. It has a 2” receiver hitch and an Espar auxiliary heater (plumbed but not wired).

Known issues are a chip in the windshield that has been filled. A slow leak in the pneumatic system.A small amount of rust on lower quarter panels (see pictures). Does not shift into low range that I believe is a faulty switch or relay. It is not the original motor. The original engine seized in the shipping yard. Probably due to oil drained for transport.
