This 1977 Jaguar XJ12 is a heavily sorted and mechanically refreshed example of classic British luxury powered by the legendary pre-HE V12, known for its robust short-stroke design and exhilarating performance. Extensive recent work includes a new aluminum radiator, water pump, front crank seal, spark plugs and wires, a rebuilt distributor with Pertronix ignition for fast, reliable starts, updated fuel injectors, and new fuel hoses throughout. The suspension has been addressed with front and rear struts, while the rear end has been fully rebuilt with new bearings, brakes, fresh differential fluid, and a properly functioning posi unit. Additional upgrades include an alternator upgrade, new master cylinder with copper brake lines, new power steering lines, tie rods, new transmission mount, kickdown upgrade, replaced transmission pan gasket, and new transmission cooler lines. The exhaust has been opened up with gutted catalytic converters for full flow, and routine service items such as oil and fuel filters have been replaced. Tires are new, the Borg-Warner automatic shifts smoothly, and the car drives straight and smooth with strong acceleration. Everything functions as it should, with the exception of cruise control and air conditioning, which will require R12 service or conversion. This XJ12 delivers an authentic, visceral vintage Jaguar experience—fast, refined, and immensely satisfying to drive.
