1965 Mercury Comet
Have title in hand. Sharp, sorted Comet with a 289 (mild cam, AFR aluminum heads, balanced) breathing through custom headers, Holley Avenger fuel injection, and a Be Cool radiator with electric fans. Spark is handled by HEI ignition; shifting is via a new T-5 transmission with hydraulic clutch and a Hurst shifter in the center console with cup holders. Stopping/handling upgrades include front disc brakes, welded subframe connectors, tubular Mustang II front suspension, Ford 8" rear end shortened 6", rear trailing arms with shocks, mini-tubbed wheel wells, and 3" dual exhaust. Exterior touches: dual hood scoops, suicide doors and trunk shaved with poppers, LED lighting, and new wheels on excellent tires.
