Description
1976 Ford F250 XLT Camper Special For sale is a stunning 1976 Ford F250 XLT Camper Special, powered by the original drivetrain- the legendary 460ci V8 engine paired with the C6 automatic transmission and 4-barrel carburetor. This truck is equipped with factory dual fuel tanks, both of which are in excellent working condition. It comes with the original owner's manual, and features like air conditioning, cruise control, and a 3.07 rear axle ratio, making it a comfortable and capable ride. The truck also boasts a class 4 hitch and is an original, dry, rust-free, straight Las Vegas, Nevada truck. Delivered to the original Nevada owner from the San Jose, California plant in 1976. I am the third owner of this heavy duty truck, and I bought it to only drive on nice days in the summer. This truck is immaculate where it counts. Under the doors, inside the rear quarter panels, the frame, cab mounts, bottom of the tailgate, even the battery trays, (dual), and side mount tool box, all in perfect condition without a bit of corrosion. The original jack is in place, and what looks like the original spare tire is still mounted under the rear frame. The original bed is in beautiful shape. If your looking for a truck that is corrosion free, this is the one.The Nevada desert has been kind to the 50 year old steel on this beauty. The exhaust system has been upgraded with headers and a newer true dual exhaust with new chrome tips, while the brand-new chrome rear step bumper adds a nice touch. The truck includes a new red soft dash pad, still in its box, and I also have the chrome trim and new clips to install it under the rear window. The custom red and white leather seat and headliner give the interior a unique, high-quality feel. The bench seat frame has been custom made before covering with the leather so that it gives great support where it’s needed most. The truck has been meticulously maintained, stored in a heated garage, and driven less than 500 miles per year. Every fluid has been changed, including the transmission fluid, rear axle gear oil, brake fluid, power steering fluid, and antifreeze. Every filter has been replaced. The glass looks all original and is in excellent shape. The original chrome is in great shape. Even the leather covered steering wheel is in great shape. Recent maintenance includes front calipers and brake replacement, a new master cylinder, and new front grille inserts.I installed a new power steering pump and high pressure hose this winter,(march 2026), and flushed and filled the power steering system. I have two new front brake hoses that are still in the box that go with the truck. I replaced 4 of the 6 shock absorbers on this truck. There are 4 in the front, and I didn’t know it at the time, or I would have replaced all six. I only run non-ethanol, high octane fuel, and it’s treated for long term storage. Every grease fitting takes grease, and every component under this truck is tight and straight with absolutely no play. The previous owner installed new radius arm rubber bushings. The truck rides on Hankook Dynapro ATM tires, size LT 265 75 16, load range E. The tires are stamped DOT 02/15. There is still plenty of tread left. The rims are aluminum and come with new chrome lugs and chrome center caps. The rims are in great shape, with no pitting. This is a 50-year-old piece of American automotive history, with zero rust and no excuses. If you're looking for a vintage truck in exceptional condition, this is the one. More pictures are available upon request, including more than 75 detailed undercarriage photos. There is nothing to hide on this truck, I am proud to show off the underside as well as the shiny side. This is a truck that will still be driving down the road long after the new ones are bricked and junked. I have too many and something has to go, so this is it. Thanks for looking!
