1963 BSA Goldstar DBD34 Race Bike

Get your hands on a piece of motorcycle history with this 1963 BSA Gold Star DBD34 Competition Model/All Sport Motorcycle, which was converted for road racing in 1965 by none other than Darrell Singer. Singer made his own rear set pegs and shift linkage and tuned the racing pipe and megaphone by ear, giving this bike unmatched performance on the track. Singer also polished the ports, lightened the valve train, and replaced the scrambler’s gears with a road race set. This motorcycle is a rare find, and the current owner has restored it to its original glory, keeping everything as it was when Darrell was racing the bike. The bike is in excellent condition, with only one new wheel, tires, N.E.B. bottom end, racing rod, piston, new valves, springs, and bearings. Buck Murphy, who raced the bike twice at Pacific Raceway, said he had never been on a better performing Gold Star. The motorcycle is currently set up as a cafe racer with a 36mm Mukuni carburetor, but all the parts needed to convert it back to the road race trim are included, such as the 11/2 GP carburetor, fairing, rear peg set, rear shift linkage, fiberglass tank (which needs to be resealed), and racing pipe. Don't miss your chance to own a rare piece of motorcycle history that will turn heads and impress anyone who sees it.
