Due to my husband's ill health, we are forced to sell our 2019 Grand Design Solitude 344GK-R fifth wheel and our 2017 Ford F-450 Platinum Diesel. Both are low mileage vehicles and in excellent condition to be sold as a package deal preferably. We will NOT sell the truck unless the trailer is sold first. The trailer has around 5700 miles on it and the truck has 38,786. We use the truck as a daily vehicle so the mileage will continue to increase since my husband finds the truck easier to get in and out of and enjoys driving it.
The trailer has just had a new roof installed with decking and membrane and the dealer determined there was no water damage. When we were in Indiana, the Grand Design factory inspected the trailer from top to bottom and replaced the stove top, oven and convection microwave. They also replaced all of the flooring and fastened the island to the floor more securely. They replaced the water pump with a larger one and did a few other minor things. The satellite/cable wiring system was also redone. There is also a new smart TV. The trailer comes with a full size residential refrigerator with ice maker which we have really enjoyed, a central vacuum system, a portable Dish Satellite TV receiver with tripod and 2 Wally Dish Satellite boxes (1 for the living area and 1 for the TV in the bedroom area), an On-the-Go portable soft water system and a Splendide stackable washer and dryer. The kitchen is wired for a dishwasher. There is a king-sized bed in the bedroom. All vents have covers.
On the outside you will get the standard 50 Amp power cord and a 30 extension plus various power cord adapters. There is also a 30 Amp extension cord included for those odd times when you cant plug into 50 Amp power. There are also a couple of water hoses and 3 sewer hoses with connectors. We are including a pair of X-chocks with locks plus 4 rubber wedge chocks. There is also an outdoor carpet, so you don't track anything into the trailer. For plenty of electric power between stops there are 3 Interstate 12V HD 24-DP wet cell batteries which we purchased in October 2020. We're also including a roll of awning fabric that Grand Design had shipped to us to replace the front awning. They later determined that was unnecessary but told us to keep the fabric. There is a Furrion back-up camera mounted on the rear of the trailer with the removable viewing screen for use inside the truck when towing. There is a TPMS trailer tire monitoring system also as well as a Mopeka propane tank monitoring system and a built-in surge protector with a digital meter. The trailer has always been stored when not in use in a locked covered enclosure where it wasn't subjected to the elements.
The truck has recently had the two front tires replaced. All recommended service has been done by Ford since we had a maintenance contract on the truck. The bed of the truck has a roll up locking bed cover and has Line-X sprayed throughout the bed interior. There are 4 locking fasteners that can be used to attach things securely to the bed. The 5th wheel hitch is a Curt A20 which we found quite easy to use. We are also including a step that fits over any of the tires which enables you to reach those things that are just out of reach in the bed or the engine compartment. There has never been any grease on the fifth wheel plate. Instead, we have used a nylon disc which is on the hitch on the trailer. We found this to be a very handy thing to use.
The interior of the truck has leather bucket seating in front with a bench seat in back and ample lockable storage under the rear seats. There will be a fire extinguisher included. The truck has several electric plugs and USB plugs. The AM/FM/CD radio also has Sirius XM to which you may subscribe. There is also a safe in the front console which my husband loves. There is a small amount of storage on top of the safe. Like most Super Duty trucks, it has two glove compartments. The floor is upgraded rubber and we are including mats and carpeting in the back. You can't beat this truck for its turning radius and its pulling power. The ride isn't bad empty but hook a large trailer to the back and it's sensational. The huge brakes and the Manual/Automatic Engine Braking with its two modes coupled with the Adaptive Cruise Control is totally awesome. You can basically drive without touching the gas pedal or brakes for long distances in traffic or mountainous areas (except in inclement weather when cruise control shouldnt be used). There are front and rear cameras. This truck also has the lane keeping feature and BLIS which keeps you aware of everything around you and makes it unbelievably easy to park in tight spaces.
